Sure Shot...

It’s been an absolute age since I last posted, but trust me, I’ve been nothing but busy working on various pieces of art, including some client work.

My most recent piece is this Beastie Boys tribute illustration. Check it out below and let me know what you think.

Also, if you like it, you can buy prints, T-shirts, stickers and all manner of other goodies featuring the illustration (and many of my other works) at Redbubble: http://www.redbubble.com/people/mark563

Something For The Blunted...

Afternoon all. As ever, life has been crazy, but not so crazy that I didn't have time to flip another new Hip Hop vector illustration.

Cypress Hill were the first Hip Hop act I ever saw live - way back in the mid '90s, touring their breakthrough smash, 'Black Sunday' - supported by another couple of favourites of mine, Lords of The Underground and Funkdoobiest at Brixton Academy. The show was bonkers, and a great introduction to live Hip Hop.

Since then, I've seen Cypress Hill perform a number of times, and have been a longterm, loyal fan. To pay my respects, I knocked up this illustration and thought I'd share it with you.

Check it out below (click to enlarge), and feel free to drop a comment.

All the best,

That's When Ya Lost...

Afternoon folks. Here's my latest vector illustration homage to a classic Hip Hop album. For this installment, I flipped the West Coast, Hieroglyphics crew, Souls Of Mischief banger, '93 'Til Infinity'.

Check it out below, and feel free to let me know what you reckon.

All the best,

They Want EFX...

Back again. I know, I know, I don't update this place nearly as much as I would like to, but real life demands too much of my time. Still, hopefully a new post today will keep you guys satisfied for a while.

This time, I'm back on track with my album illustrations, and this one's a fitting choice, considering the artists in question are about to hit Melbourne for their first ever Australian tour. I've long been a ridiculously crazed Das EFX fan, so felt turning my hand to a sketch of their incredible debut album, 'Dead Serious', was long overdue.

Make sure you check out their live show if you can, and have a butchers at my illustration below (click to enlarge).

Cheers,

Welcome To The Terrordome...

Afternoon all. I’ve been on a massive Public Enemy tip for the last few weeks. I’d like to say I dusted off my vinyl copies of ‘Yo! Bum Rush The Show’, ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back’ and ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’ and give them a good spin, but my turntables have been packed away for a while now (making room for the family), so instead, I’ve been listening to those three timeless albums on my iPhone, making my journey to and from work all the more enjoyable.

Inspired by my music choice, I decided to knock up this Public Enemy tribute vector illustration.

Check it out below (click to enlarge), and let me know what you think.

All the best,
