They Want EFX...

Back again. I know, I know, I don't update this place nearly as much as I would like to, but real life demands too much of my time. Still, hopefully a new post today will keep you guys satisfied for a while.

This time, I'm back on track with my album illustrations, and this one's a fitting choice, considering the artists in question are about to hit Melbourne for their first ever Australian tour. I've long been a ridiculously crazed Das EFX fan, so felt turning my hand to a sketch of their incredible debut album, 'Dead Serious', was long overdue.

Make sure you check out their live show if you can, and have a butchers at my illustration below (click to enlarge).

Cheers,

Welcome To The Terrordome...

Afternoon all. I’ve been on a massive Public Enemy tip for the last few weeks. I’d like to say I dusted off my vinyl copies of ‘Yo! Bum Rush The Show’, ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back’ and ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’ and give them a good spin, but my turntables have been packed away for a while now (making room for the family), so instead, I’ve been listening to those three timeless albums on my iPhone, making my journey to and from work all the more enjoyable.

Inspired by my music choice, I decided to knock up this Public Enemy tribute vector illustration.

Check it out below (click to enlarge), and let me know what you think.

All the best,

Skanless...

Yes yes y’all.

Another album illustration. This one is for Compton’s own DJ Quik, and his bedut album from 1991 ‘Quik Is The Name’.

Check it out below, and feel free to leave a comment.

Have a good weekend,

Let me Ride...

What’s going on? Busy as ever here, which has meant personal artwork has taken a bit of a back seat. That said, I finally finished off another album illustration. Check it out below, I’m sure you’ll recognise the classic Dr. Dre ‘The Chronic’ album.

Have a butchers, and feel free to leave some feedback.

Cheers, big-ears,

Who Got The Props...

What’s good people? I’ve got a new album illustration for you. This time it’s a personal favourite of mine from the early 1990s – Black Moon’s ‘Enta Da Stage’.

Have a look below and let me know what you reckon.

All the best,
